I was born in the US (hence US citizenship) to a UK mother (hence UK citizenship).
ceigered, it's just an online petition anyway so I would just sign. No one's going to come knocking on your door asking for proof of citizenship

The UK has one of the most complicated citizenship laws on the planet (a legacy of colonialism) and I learned quite a bit about it while researching my own citizenship status.

OK I'll just sign the petition, considering the Queen of England is also the Queen of Australia.
