Manĝaĵo is the thing(s) you eat.
Manĝo (or manĝado) is the act of eating, but somtimes manĝo can be used instead of manĝaĵo.

Manĝo can be an act of eating but overwhelmingly it is used in the sense of a meal.

Manĝajoj is closer in meaning to food.
