Does anyone know of any online Esperanto texts that you can click on to get English word definitions (like you can in places on Lernu).

I am looking for something that works quickly so that I can try and get through faster without recourse to a dictionary.

It takes a little set up but you can use a program called Learning With Texts that does exactly that.

http://lwtfi3m.co/ is the website. It needs to be set up for your target language, which is a good thing because then there is no limit to which languages you can use with it. However the downside is that there is some configuration that needs to be done by the user.

That has all the configuration you should need to get it working. Just fill out the fields appropriately.

After you input a text and open it all the words will be highlighted blue. if there is a word you don't understand then click on it: there will be two windows to the right. the bottom one will use a dictionary look up and the top one will have a spot for you to put the translation you like best. Then when you save it that word will now be highlighted in red throughout the text. It's good when you're first learning and don't know many words because you can really keep track of all the words as you learn them. At the end when you've marked all the words you just learned you can click "I Know All" and it we unhighlight all the remaining words.It also has features that you can export all the words you're learning into a spreadsheet that could pretty easily be uploaded into a flash card program like anki.
