I find the question objectionable, even though the answer would be obvious to anyone who met me. Understand that people have suffered injustice because of such classification. I will not encourage this survey.

Is this a joke? Do you mean Esperantists are generally vegetarians? Europe, Australia, North America and Canada (largely white people) consume far more meat than many other places. China too, and Esperanto is popular there right?

I thought that was a funny comment also. He thinks that white people eat more vegetables and therefore are better at learning languages? Americans (myself included) are the worst at learning languages.

In fact, eating meat would probably be more beneficial for learning languages. When people go to a chess championship or something like that, it is common to eat Tuna because of the high protein, which enhances brain function.

It is clearly a joke that doesn't translate well. No one really thinks that one skin color eats more vegetables than another, or even if they did, that this would affect their language learning skills.

This was pure irony. When I see "what race are you" a little red light starts flashing in my head. A race has noting to do with human skills of any kind. Perhaps black people are simply not that rich as white ones and have little access to the Internet. I don't know but I would never associate the skin color with esperanto. I have met and made friends with many black, yellow and brown esperantists and I have never noticed that they were in any way inferior to me. We are all the people of the same planet. The skin color does not matter.

But who is saying it does? It's just an interesting question how the demographics of Esperantists compare to the demographics of the world in general. But for this poll to be meaningful in any degree, I agree that

All human races started in Africa, that is the fact. If the white start living in the same environment as the black do, they will develop the same skills and vice versa. Perhaps the black lack the conditions do develop 100 m sprint runner who can break the current world record. This may be connected to their economy, not the color of the skin.

Huh... What I have already heard is that blacks are rather GOOD athletes due to selection and mating of slaves done by white masters... in plantations.
