You are free to add your own words in Neo Patwa. For example, if you're an anime fan (like ceigered) and you use the word "anime" while your talking in Neo Patwa to other Neo Patwans who are also anime fans, they will know what you're saying.

Arpee, you?

I made my own language at bontoki.wikispaces.com.

It's based on Bon Wen, Toki Pona and Neo Patwa. However, the most important words are of English origin and the language uses the prefix mal- to waste less words. And like Neo Patwa, it's allowed to evolve.

What the? Puna's developing, without having more than 18 words?

Yes, the complex dictionary's even bigger!!!

The word "nu" is very important now.

Puna is now in version 3! (version 1 = 20 word Puna, version 2 = 18 word old Puna)

Yo Arpee ridulo.gif

Nani nula, nunani la ma ma makina ku puna na ridulo.gif

I think that you need to add new definitions for puna words (hey, I like this! lango.gif).

To extrapolate (in Anglese): I personally think that while your existing definition system is good (lots of definitions for existing words), you may need a bit more oomph here and there in your definitions, for example:

Na - (Pertaining to the mouth - "oral" word)
Ni - (Pertaining to life - "vitality" word)
Ki - (Pertaining to facts and the senses)
Nu - (Pertaining to potential reversal)

etc cetera.

Pu lakunupi ku nunani na, Puna, la! (My interpretation of "Good luck with your language, Puna (with "la" for emphasis)!")

(Ah, one final thing: Your language more or less breaks the "laws" of brevity, which more or less means that communication made by at least humans and dolphins tends to shorten the things that will be said the most (nunani for example - it makes sense, but nunani sounds like a conjugated compounded verb more than a pronoun). In which case, after your work on Puna, without starting from scratch you might want to build more on this concept of absolute minimalisation and add a few new words (where you can still get away with it - for which cause maybe diphthongs are in order for words rigid in meaning (e.g. "nai" could mean "I". But that's another thing altogether, maybe something I might explore...)

EDIT: K1attack, you'll also need to recognise Toki Pona in your Bon Toki, as Sonja asked Arpee to do with his Bonwen (seeming as Bontoki is based off of bonwen... you get the idea lango.gif).

I've already mentioned Toki Pona.

So, "ti", "mu", "li", "ku" and "tu" have changed. "ti" used to mean plant but you could just say "ni" (life). "mu" just means to change position. "li" (the separator) is erm, what is it? And "ku" is merged with "pa". "tu" is merged with "nu".

.
nani = I
nula = don't want
nunani = you
la = need
ma = start
ma = start
makina = start-knowledge-word (what knowledge a word carries, meaning)
ku = to, for
Puna = Puna

Is there still a separator? Or is a space-bar a separator now instead of "li"?
