Whilst semajne or ĉiusemajne (weekly, every week) may be adequate in certain contexts for once a week, this does not explicitly bring out the idea of once as opposed to twice or three times.
So La gazeto aperas semajne will of course be understood as implying once a week. Semajne, mi marŝas dek kilometrojn, means that you walk 10 km in a week, but it does not tell us whether you do this all in one go, or if that is the total distance covered totting up various walks.
Po unu fojo en la semajno, unu fojon ĉiusemajne are more explicit.
To go running is not just to run, but to go for a run, for exercise or training.
Mi sportkuras; Mi faras kuradon; Mi ekzercas min kurante.
