N.B. The poll doesn't seem to be related to the content of the post. (Political commentary should go into the Esperanto-language forums.)

I don't think it should be translated as 'whistleblower' from English in any case. In other languages other (related) ideas are used to express the same thing e.g. 'klokkenluider' (Dutch) as as in the sounding of bells which has always been used to indicate a warning.

Even in English the common phrase has been 'sounding/raising the alarm'. Esperanto can come up with a unique term, in the way 'town crier' is anoncisto.

Malkaŝulo?

RiotNrrd:Malkaŝulo?
Or malkaŝisto. That sounds more active than malkaŝulo.

(Though it may be confusing in that a kaŝisto is basically what we could call a fence [of stolen goods]).

I vote that the "poll" be removed from this thread.
It is offensive in that it is a direct attack on an individual.

Alarminto (or if you want to use malkaŝi - malkaŝinto)

Avertanto, avertinto.
